My client was charged with possession of cocaine. The client pleaded guilty to the charge. I made submissions to the Magistrate in support of my client obtaining a section 10 dismissal of the charge.
The Magistrate accepted by submissions and dismissed the matter pursuant to section 10 of the Crimes (Sentencing Procedure) Act. This means that the offence was therefore found proved but dismissed and hence, my client escaped without a criminal conviction.
